Customer Reviews
Ella
"I have a diabetic foot condition that requires me to wear 6E width shoes, which are incredibly hard to find. These shoes have been a blessing! They feel as comfortable as slippers, yet they are sturdy and holding up well. And they fit my VERY wide foot. My one complaint? They also come in Gray, but for some reason OrthoFeet only makes the Gray version up to size 4E, not 6E. And they don't make them in White at all, for some reason. Get on it, OrthoFeet!"
Dana Degenhardt
"I have neuropathy, hammer toe, Morton's neuroma, arthritis, high arches, pronation and bone spurs. It is extremely difficult for me to be comfortable with my feet. These are the best shoes I have found. Although I have normally width feet, I found that I need extra-wide shoes in order to accommodate thick socks without feeling any pressure. I tried more than 6 pairs of Orthofeet shoes. These finally did it."
Robert Zeiler
"Excellent shoe, it was comfortable, but they were too wide, so I returned them. I had already ordered a pair of Gramercyâs and they fit just right, so I did not reorder the Bismarckâs."

FAQs:
If your feet are wider than normal or swollen, or if you have bunions and or other protrusions in your feet, then yes, wide shoes are a very good idea.
Wide width shoes are designed to provide a broader fit compared to standard sized shoes, including a spacious toe box that leaves enough room for the toes to spread naturally.
You can also benefit from wearing wide width shoes if you don’t have wide feet, as long as the fit is good.
The best way to determine if you have wide feet is to measure them, although its important to note that there is no universal width measurement chart that shoe brands use.
Another way to determine if your feet are wide is to check if your current shoes are too tight. If your feet feel squeezed in, you need to go up in width.
You can also look at the shape of your feet and if you notice they are wider than they are long, it means you may have wide feet.
A rounder, boxier toe box (the front of the shoe) is best if you have wide feet because it can accommodate wide feet, leaving enough space for the toe to wiggle freely.
For summer, open-sided styles can also offer a relaxed fit for wide feet.
The main difference between medium and wide shoes lies in the width of the shoe last, which is the mold used to construct the shoe.
Medium or standard width shoes are designed to fit the average foot width. They provide a moderate width in the forefoot, midfoot and heel areas.
Wide width shoes, on the other hand, are designed to accommodate feet that are wider than the average width. They offer additional room in the forefoot area, typically allowing the toes to have more space to spread out naturally.
