My husband ignored neuropathy symptoms in his right foot for far too long before he had surgery on his back for pinching of nerves. The surgery brought back about 65% of his ability to lift and rotate his foot, but he continues to under-pronate (supinate) to the point he breaks down his shoes within a month. He is extremely cautious about every step he takes because he is afraid he will roll his ankle. I have looked extensively for assistive devices (braces, insoles, etc.) to help, and found nothing until I happened to see Orthofeet featured on Good Morning America. Everything I had found so far was for over-pronation. I saw the Anti-Supination plastic inserts, and wondered whether it would make any difference at all because it was so simple. There is literally nothing else like it, at least not that I've found during hours of research. I bought them, and he put them in a new pair of shoes. This man, who is not emotional very often, CRIED WITH RELIEF when he started walking around the house with them. I'm not exaggerating the level of support the inserts provided him - I could see the difference immediately. These inserts are unobtrusive and you do not "feel" them in your shoe per se, the only thing you feel is added structure and support to keep your foot from rolling outward. I cannot praise the Anti-Supination Device enough. If you suffer from supination, get these. Seriously.
Attn Orthofeet: Please add Supination as a "condition" you can search. You have Over-pronation but not Supination and this item may be difficult for people to find.
